Buttered Pecan Ice Cream
This quick and easy buttered pecan ice cream is sure to be a crowd pleaser!
This is literally the easiest ice cream recipe ever! And who doesn't love buttered pecan ice cream? I'm assuming you love pecans if you're on our blog but if you don't, this ice cream base can be used for any type of ice cream. Go crazy! I've done a variation with pecans, chocolate ribbons and caramel to make a chocolate turtle ice cream. Maybe I'll blog that one too! But for the ice cream base, basically all you do is blend together 1 can of sweetened condensed milk, 1 cup of heavy cream and 2 cups of whole milk. Flavor as you wish and freeze according to the instructions on your ice cream maker. If you don't have an ice cream maker, you need one. There are 2 basic home variations; one that has a condenser so no salt or ice are needed, or a traditional ice cream maker which requires adding salt and ice. Both are fantastic. I like my condenser because it's a lot faster and less messy.
